4th of July.

Let's face the facts. Ever since Samuel and I got married we have become hermits introverts. Seeing that we had had some weather issues the night before, we spent the next morning packing up and returning our TV before we headed to our stake activity in the Catawba County South Carolina area. Let's take a quick second to talk about how absolutely beautiful the drive was, and although it was no drive down the street, I'm convinced that it was one of the most beautiful drives I've ever seen in my whole life.

When we got to the activity, we couldn't see anyone that we knew (...since we know so many people), but were approached by a very out going man who mistook us for another young couple that had just moved into their ward. We ended up chatting with him and his wife for quite some time to find out that he was also a graduate of BYU-Idaho and that his wife is convinced that BYU-Idaho is a cult. It's the greatest thing to find another BYU-Idaho Alumni, because you're automatically best friends. 

(Wanna know how we were best friends? They invited us to go swimming with them at their pool the next day. Shout out to Sam and I for being social and hanging out with people that we don't even know. We had a great time with the Porter's and the other very nice people that we were able to meet from their ward while we were swimming. Just like of the friends that we find, they're waiting for a job offer in New York).

We spent the rest of the evening meeting people in our ward, cutting watermelon and attempting to judge a child's watermelon eating contest, and getting a better look at the Catawba Church building and the surrounding area.

Once the activity was over we did what any poor college student graduate would do and drove around to find some free firework show. We ended up in the very high class town of Tega Cay, SC parked the car as quickly as we could and sat on a median to watch the fire work show. 

Let's be honest. It's still a blast to go on impromptu adventures and I can't wait to be officially graduated and Sam's certifications to be over so we can explore.
