We (mostly) did it.

I've been trying to get myself to write this blog for the past 2 hours.. but I can't quite bring myself to do it yet.

Graduating was on Friday. Samuel is 100% done with his undergrad and I'm, well, almost there. Moving across the country has called for some desperate measures which include finishing my last 2 classes online. Although I've never had much faith in online classes, I'm a changed woman after taking my family proclamation class.

I've looked and looked through my journals to find some words of wisdom from when I survived graduating high school, but let us just have a quick honestly moment. Instead of writing in my journal I was too worried about 20 year old boys, drinking my first mountain dew, and making sure that I actually survived the summer before my first semester at college. I did, however, find lots of colorful pages and days that consisted of Happy Hour and Sonic, PPL Tuesday nights with Lucy the dog, late night yearbook adventures, and the entry about my pride moment when I insisted that my parents not help me pay for my $120 ticket because I wanted to start being an adult.

Commencement was so cliche that I couldn't help but laugh as I walked down the stairs in the BYU-Idaho Center: Walking through the doors, everyone was standing for the graduates and the graduation song was playing- you know, the pomp and circumstance one that we learned about in 11th grade? We sat down towards the front and within no time it was over. Convocation took place in the Hart Auditorium and I didn't pay attention to a single thing that was said on account that I was worried that I was going to fall while walking up to get my diploma cover...

Great news, I didn't trip and overall I can't believe that I finally get to have my husband back after this crazy semester full of all-nighters, not sleeping on our bed, taking meals to the lab, crazy meetings hours, internships, and other necessary school things. I'm so proud that he survived and did well in everything that he did.

As for me. I still have another 15 or so weeks left. But for right now, he's finishing up our taxes and I'm not wanting to go into work tomorrow. These last 2 weeks in Rexburg are going to fly by and we haven't even started packing.

I imagine that the next time I blog I'll be sobbing hysterically and make absolutely no sense and be finally coming to terms with the fact that we're really leaving.
